About the SCU Unhoused Initiative
Homelessness is one of the most pressing social justice needs of our time. According to the 2022 Point in Time Homelessness Survey, over 10,000 people are experiencing homelessness in Silicon Valley. Unhoused individuals are often stigmatized, criminalized and generally seen as a problem, rather than as individuals who deserve respect, dignity and all the usual benefits of being in a community. The Unhoused Initiative seeks to center the dignity of people experiencing homelessness in the discussion of our community response to it through research, events, University-wide engagement and community collaboration. Learn more at: scu-unhousedinitiative.org/.
The Unhoused Initiative is supported by the Deans of the College of Arts & Sciences and the SCU School of Law and private gift funds.

Being a whistleblower, he no longer is a shadow of his family. Got his ticket out as his own hero. Hopefully after all this publicity he does something good out of it and doesn’t lose his integrity in the process. “Be aware that when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster. For when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” See everyone back in these comments in 10 years.

But lets be clear, Where and how these AI systems got these Bias. They learned it from us. So we are replacing Humans which we know are Bias. With AI's that at least can hopefully be taught to not be biased.

Artificial Intelligence is a Discovery not an invention. I was showing someone the AI bots that learned to play soccer. They stated "But when I play soccer , I know i am playing soccer." and so my response was. "Well you think that, because your Brain gives you a reward when you do." Meaning is a Human illusion.

That is old school. In a nonprofit organization-Board members are supposed to be thankful and grateful for the CEO or Office Manager because he/ she is the one running the company. Board members don’t work for the company, don’t do daily operations, don’t have any kind of certificate and they think they are a big shot because the are given a title of vice president or president or secretary treasurer etc. They are given those titles because they are volunteers and so that they can feel like they got power but in reality they don’t know shit.

Having created the world and all that liveth and moveth therein, He, through the direct operation of His unconstrained and sovereign Will, chose to confer upon man the unique distinction and capacity to know Him and to love Him-a capacity that must needs be regarded as the generating impulse and the primary purpose underlying the whole of creation…. Upon the inmost reality of each and every created thing He hath shed the light of one of His names, and made it a recipient of the glory of one of His attributes. Upon the reality of man, however, He hath focused the radiance of all of His names and attributes, and made it a mirror of His own Self. Alone of all created things man hath been singled out for so great a favor, so enduring a bounty. - Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 65.
